AS THE WORLD CELEBRATES,WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU/ME.

Who is your best friend? I am sure you are naming someone else right now.How did we come to choose the person that we call our best friend. I think it is majorly from how they make us feel.This person:affirms us,believes in us,supports us,knows us to a large extent,can predict us,have time for us,shares in our good and bad times and have been there so many times.Most importantly,they are loyal to us and watch out for us and have over the years come to win our confidence in them and they are called our bestfriends.Notice,THIS IS ANOTHER HUMAN BEING THAT WE HAVE JUST DESCRIBED WITH OUTSTANDING QUALITIES OF THEIR RELEVANCE TO US.
Let me ask this? Are you your own best friend 1st and foremost?
Many of us,wait for other people to bring to us our joy; to set the ball rolling,to bring the music, the laughter to us.
So what if no one does,or what about in the mean time,or when you are by yourself? It is good to rely on others,but it is equally good to practise for ourselves, that,that we want others to bring into our lives,we must be it too for others. We have a lot inside of us that if we will examine our lives,we will see what is possible to bring forth.
Which brings me to the matter of the moment,Obarak Obama as the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.A new history has been written.
It is inspiring to see a black man finally become part of the history of America's number one seat/white house.To be the executor of the "GREAT DREAM, THE VISION, THE STRUGGLES,THE SACRIFICES OF PAST VISIONARIES For THE EMANCIPATION OF THE BLACK MAN OF AMERICA and hope to the world. But we most salute the mind,the courage,confidence,the stewardship,sacrifice of this great black Man Obarack Obama. We must then go further to look inwardly,if we are committed to our dreams,
the dream of our immediate household,family,the dream and vision of our communities,our nation and then of humanity. The dream of MANKIND.
It is not just enough to celebrate,but for us to be inspired,fired up,ignited as this leader of change has shown us. We all have the Obama dream,vision,aspiration in us,what sets the rest of us apart from this new wonder,is if we will dare to lay our lives down,for our own personal and larger good,aspirations,dreams, vision, to come to pass and most importantly,if we will reach out and connect to other people,who are our source of strength.Obama used the power of humanity,collectivity and unity to achieve his purpose and in his speech,he mentioned citizenship,collective effort,transparency,change,sacrifice,as the essential attributes of his new adminstration.I think that is a good place to end this note,we all can personalise that too,we are all part of the American achievement,we have been since the begining,through the nomination process,the campaign,election and inauguration,We can go the haul.The world awaits our personalised "I can and I will".
