International Women's Day 2020. Each for Equal: KNOW IT FOR WHAT IT REALLY IS

I do not just celebrate fellow women world over, I indeed salute us, a rare gem we are and it does not matter what the rest of the world thinks. Where there is discrimination of any kind be it race, ethnicity, it is always the justification of supremacy over another by the other, it is not different with gender inequality either.

Each for equal and equality  stands for WOMEN to see and accept, internalize in the mind  soul and spirit that we are EQUAL TO MEN. No iota of doubt nor negotiations around it must be subscribed to.It must resonate absolutely.

Women, lets not agree with the society against us by reacting to their actions and beliefs against our sex as weak and subordinate. We are equal and that is it.This must be our reality mirrored in our daily lives as so also must we teach it to our girl child from an early age too that they are born equal.

So fellow women let us focus less on the outside world and and its perception of what a woman is lets instead celebrate our strength and stamina, a unique thing that we bring to the world in being its rock and strength whether acknowledged or not.

When the female is only seen and thought of in line of her body as an object of pleasure to be devoured from as early in life as possible for the satisfying of any male's sexual needs and as a biological piece for bringing more of them to the world, we must know it for what it is.

When education is denied us, when they treat us less intelligent, qualified, experienced to men, and deem us hormonal not  fit to be leaders, we must know it for what it is. When  male members of our  families deny us our inheritances,we must know it for what it is, when we are faced with sexism, discrimination, harassment and abuse, and hated for setting standards and boundaries, we must know it for what it is, when we are treated badly for not having a male children, for not being married at a certain age or before, for prioritizing our careers over marriage, lets know it for what it is. Whatever is thrown at us for being female, young or old, we must know it for what it is.

Now let me ask you, do you know why it is we face inequality? It is simply to  take away our DIGNITY. Without dignity, what is there of a human being? It is to fight against our inner power , stamina, strength and energy that breaks all limitations, the world can sense what can be unleashed when we are  in the resolute element of our latent power, our mind and our determination to stand tall, to stand firm. In that moment, our equality is unrivaled and to live with it as the status quo is what the world is afraid of too much to handle. Think about it!

There is no delusion of the realities and facts that there are obstacles  in the way of  the female specie in expressing herself as equal to the men, the deliberate clog in the wheel of her progress for her resistance-but the outside should not be the focus, women. Instead we must reject conditioning that society has placed on us for so long.We must start identifying as feminine not by weakness,or dimming our lights or  nor biting our lips, timidness, faking it,helplessness, suppressing emotions, super power image, self last, crawling in fear and intimidation to stop the labeling, or shamed from the backlash for rubbing off society the wrong way by our persistent equality demands, the world has been in our face for as long as we know it, its the turn of then oxen to be gored, live with hearing our voices and watching our boldness and courage amplify.
We must quit tiptoeing around eggshells, living apologetically for our existence, and stand  stand firm, chin up, shoulders straight, crown on our heads, heart in a good place, confidence bold, from knowing we are equal  must we live our lives unashamedly and to the fullest.

This age long bias that we are not equal to the male specie, is yet to be scientifically proven of greater intelligence between the sexes. It is simply an art of manipulation, a status quo of dominance, power, control and entitled privilege denoting what MASCULINITY is,either as young or older men. Whereas when derobed the underlying factor is FEAR, stark reality that he is mere mortal, with no muted  DNA, simply human, weak and soil like the rest of being.

Yes the system maybe changing, snail paced on issues of equality as a result of our persistent clamor and call for reasoning, a conversation we should not be having in the 1st place, but the deep seated  belief and one on one unequal treatment of women and girls that persists shows the extent of resistance there is still to give up the privileged mentality of men as superior.

"Courage is the best virtue to cultivate, says Maya Angelou, because without it you can not practice any other virtue consistently". So women, I repeat we are special and we must not forget  on a daily basis, every minute, every second as we go through life. No one else, not society, can give you that power to be a powerful you, not even  a twin sharing an embryo.
No, it is up to you who has to own it and own it you must.

Stand up for yourself and decide you will dignify yourself on your terms and not on others terms. Choose to be strong, stand strong and stay strong, fight to uphold our dignity. the journey will then be easier to face and further can  you reach and fulfilled on your own terms of self worth and value.

Women and Girls you are equal to all men and boys, young and old.
