The BUSINESS START UP EVENT.

I was at the Business Start Up event last weekend the 28th of Novemember 2008 at the Kensington Olympia,in London and this is the 3rd year running that I have been attending the event and it has continued to be a relevant gathering.Being able to plan, invest and put together under one roof a complete entreprenurial highly kitted event is commendable. It consisted of exhibitions, seminars, top notch speakers, creative products and services. Indeed it was inspiring,as well as a confidence booster and reinforcer that indeed, anyone who is willling to pay the price of seeking information of "how to" and "taking action" will become the success story that they want to be in life.It is simply by the reasoning of your choices, what you do with your time and your perseverance to see it through.

I met great minds, dogged, dedicated entrepreneurs, who stock to their vision, no matter what stood in their way, during their humble beginnings, till they birthed what was in the inside of them and today are successful in their own rights. What will you do differently to achieve your goals in life? Well, lets meet the following people who stood out for me the event! Ordinary people doing extra ordinry things.

Levi Roots of the reggae raggae sauce, who pitched for investment in his sauce business in a reggae and did well, all the way to success on the popular TV show "The dragons den",2/3yrs ago and got the capital and human investment of one of the highly respected dragons, Peter Jones. And the rest has since become history.

How about the Katie Moore, an extra ordinary woman, the tireless co-ordinator of the twice yearly business start up event and business start up community network. Talk about a lady with unflinching passion for driving entrepreneurship to the next level.
And Oh! You needed to have met Stefan and the rest of the 4networking crew.Their stand was the brightest stand at the event, their theme FOR THE EVENT I WOULD THINK was "a smiley day we are wishing you" and indeed the rest of the day was beautiful in my opinion! And guess what? They are in the business of bringing like minded upwordly mobile people, proffessionals together, through networking! You must check them out.
Sheila Elliot, the author of the famous book and DVD " My business is my business" also had a stand. Apart from the book, the lovely,Sheila also runs BSS,a business development agency.
There was also free seminars running back to back on various self development and business growth topics delivered by notable and successful entrepreneurs. So also were book stands, various innovative product and services stands, various franchises etc, that I can only but say People, you've got to get up and fall in line,it is happening all around you.

Thanks Abi, I'm glad you liked our stand and what we're trying to do. And guess what? We're coming to London, soon, very soon, so you'll have a breakfast meeting near you!
