THE COUPLE AT THE ALTAR

"Bimbola mi,Omo,I want to marry,I want a wifey,someone to call my own."Hmn so what is stopping you I queried?"."It is finding and knowing that very person but I know my God will do it".Amen",I said joining my faith with his.This were the exact words of mixed feelings of my childhood friend Oluwadurotimi some 2 years ago.
God heard his outcry!Lesson number one You must cry unto God with your hearts desire because he surely hears.In no time after that conversation, Oluwadurotimi met his better half the beautiful Oyindamola!
A year into their courtship,they announced to their families and friends that they are getting married! A date was chosen and last weekend,the 15Th of August 2009, friends,family and loved ones gathered together to watch them take their vows of Holy Matrimony at the prestigious Redeemed Christian Church Of God,VICTORY HOUSE LONDON,the breaking of their 1st bread as a couple at a colourful reception at the reputable Bacon's College Rotherhithe London.
The officiating Minister,Pastor Leke Sanusi reminded the couple of the symbolism of their union,Lesson number 2.Marriage as Gods own very idea.Hear him,"The fact that it was at a wedding that Jesus 1st performed a miracle,turning water into wine,proves that a couple that chooses to marry obtains favour from God,henceforth Rotimi and Oyinda are blessed and highly favoured".
He also talked the fruit of patience in marriage Trials and challenges will arise but a praying family stays together.He did not mince words in telling the newly married about the essence of sharing,caring and finding time for each other through out their marriage as a matter of experience. "It is as relevant as the air you breathe",henceforth two has become one in all things".
Lesson number 4:About Forgiveness he preached that offences are sure to come but forgiveness is key,"Neither of you should harbour the offence of the other in your heart,let go and let God be the head of your union,it is important,everyone should learn to take issues and things 1st to God in prayer,because he is the author and finisher of our faith and all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us". "It is your marriage,not you family's marriage,so let your business stay your business, "Husbands honour thy wives and wives honor thy husbands! It was a good sermon which I found enlightening and hopefully you will too.And all the people said "AMEN".
The reception a pomp and pageantry affair,with lots of people in attendance, was a beautiful way to spend a summer day!
