Governor Ambode retreats but not in surrender!

The definition of RETREAT AS A NOUN MEANS: an act of moving back or withdrawing but in most places where management is on retreat its to evaluate and restrategise and It is a vital tool of leadership and management, that the leader takes time out to share or measure THE VISION and MISSION with his team, as he or she makes foot soldiers of them to deliver on the mandate. Hitting the ground running with his newly appointed cabinet,  joined by the states Perm Secs, Heads of MDAs , Gov.Akinwuni Ambode of Lagos State is at a 4 DAY STRATEGIC RETREAT WITH HIS TEAM,

 

and according to the Commissioner, Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde the retreat while focusing on the economic drivers of the state: security, job creation and infrastructure development, its lasting emphasis is towards delivering of improved services to Lagosians.

 So as Lagosians and stakeholders, whats your take, do you agree with these 3 key issues or have you other priority areas in mind?

In my capacity as a development practitioner and from research findings of late, a missing link in Lagos State is an effective service complaints systems in the state (note the word effective) and as a center of excellence, a model for good governance and democratic practices its imperative all parastatals activate a citizens complaints/redress mechanism, one that the Governor himself will be particularly interested in its implementation, monitoring and evaluation periodically. This they owe us as stakeholders and citizens of Lagos State, So I should say a key element of their key issues should entail Citizens feed back systems.
